The Alumni Association Connects Alumni from All Over the World in Taiwan

The Ministry of Education (MoE) is organizing an alumni association to build a platform for those who had studied and are currently staying in Taiwan to share the experience and information.

The inaugural of the alumni association is expected to be held in October this year. To give the alumni more assistance and resources for their life or employment in Taiwan. Relevant topic discussions, lectures, and activities will be organized regularly in the future. The establishment of the Alumni Association will not only connect more outstanding talents, but also build a diverse environment to keep the international talents stay in Taiwan after graduation.

The chairman of the preparatory committee Mr. Li Sam-Choi expressed that the alumni association will provide more opportunities and helps to the foreigners in Taiwan. Mr. Yong Kuan-Yih, the deputy chairman, also said that it is hoped to create a more diverse and friendly society through the alumni association.

The number of foreign students studying in Taiwan has been increasing for the past decade. According to the statistics of the MoE, there were more than 130’000 foreign students in Taiwan in 2019.

Those who have studied in Taiwan (including language courses and short-term exchanges), are welcome to join the alumni association and meet more friends from all over the world!
